Hundreds of Afghan asylum seekers took the streets today in Brussels for a march for their freedom and rights.  They ask for a moratorium on deportations to Afghanistan and a legal status for theAfghans living in Belgium, so that they can live and work in dignity.
The walk will last for three days, and be around 70km, from Brussels until Mons where they hope to meet the Belgian Prime Minister, Elio Di Rupo. The march aims also at protesting the migration policy from Belgian government towards Afghans. Many of the participants had been denied asylum despite the fact that Afghanistan is still very insecure, and some had even been deported back. Hundreds of Afghans have been occupying a church in the center of Brussels for the last weeks.
