This is a portrait taken today in
Khuza'a of Adnan al-Najjar.
He currently lives in his half
destroyed home that is totally unsafe and riddled with big holes
barely covered by wood and plastic sheet.
All the rooms are gone, except the
living room where he sleeps with his wife, and sometimes his children
(sometimes they go to sleep in a caravan).
He says that he now prefers to die in
his home rather than fleeing again.
Adnan evacuated Khuzaa days after his
family. He wanted to stay to watch over his animals and the house.
But the tanks came;, and more bombings, so he had to go. he flew with
a white flag, and was injured after a shell fell near him.
All his animals were killed.
Ceci est un portrait pris aujourd'hui à Khuza'a d'Adnan al-Najjar.
Il vit actuellement dans sa moitié maison détruite qui est totalement insalubre et criblée de trous béants à peine couverts par des planches de bois et des plastiques.
Toutes les chambres ont été détruites (y compris la salle de bain, la cuisine et les toiltetes) sauf le salon où il dort avec sa femme, et parfois ses enfants ( ils vont dormir des fois dans une caravane).
Il dit qu'il préfère maintenant mourir dans sa maison plutôt que de fuir à nouveau.
Adnan a évacués Khuza'a des jours après sa famille. Il voulait rester pour veiller sur ses animaux et la maison. Mais les chars sont arrivés;, et d'autres bombardements, il a donc dû partir. Il a fui avec un drapeau blanc, et a été blessé après qu'un obus soit tombé près de lui.
Tous ses animaux ont été tués.
